Dr. Jamie JY Lee


BPsych(Hons), DClinPsych, MSPS

Jamie is a registered clinical psychologist with the Singapore Psychological Society and obtained a Doctor of Psychology (Clinical) and Bachelor of Psychology (Honours Class I) from James Cook University.

She adopts a person-centred approach to therapy and believes that compassion, a non-judgemental stance, and a strong working relationship between psychologist and client are important in therapy.

Jamie enjoys using cognitive behavioural therapies, acceptance and mindfulness-based therapies and solution focused therapies with children, teenagers and adults. She has trained and worked at hospitals and voluntary welfare organisations to address post-traumatic stress, health-related difficulties (e.g. pain and illness, chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome), mood-related difficulties, anxiety disorders and eating disorders.

Her interests and experience lie in:

  • Working with children and adolescents with learning and behavioural difficulties.
  • Supporting individuals in their difficulties with stress, depression, grief, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive behaviours.
  • Supporting individuals in the management of pain and chronic illness.
  • Supporting caregivers of people with special needs, mental and physical health difficulties.
  • Conducting talks and workshops in the management of mental health difficulties and health-related difficulties.

Jamie’s research experience is in dementia screening and neurocognitive disorders. She conducts therapy in both English and Mandarin.
