Sheetal believes that the key in overcoming challenges is to be honest about who we are, take time to discover ourselves and process our experiences. She sees her role in the counselling process as that of a guide, to help clients maintain a balance, create meaningful connections with the people around them and regain a sense of well-being in their social, emotional and professional selves.
She has worked in community and non-profit organizations helping clients with anxiety and stress management, grief and loss, depression, relationship difficulties, poor self-esteem and other emotional dysregulation concerns. She had volunteered in Healthserve to support migrant workers during the Covid-19 pandemic and the circuit breaker period.
Having studied and worked in India, United Kingdom and Singapore, her counselling style is person-centered and multicultural while utilizing evidence-based techniques like Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and humanistic approach. As she had relocated a few times from different regions, she fully comprehends the psychoemotional processes and adjustments in these transitions. Sheetal’s clients have reportedly developed greater self-awareness of themselves and found greater fulfilment in their lives.
Sheetal has a Master’s degree in Counselling from Monash University, Australia. She is a certified facilitator in the Prepare-and-Enrich Program to prepare partners in forging healthy relationships as well as strong and lasting marriages.
In her free time, she enjoys going for nature works and savours a hot cup of coffee. She speaks both English and Hindi fluently.
